In this blog post I also want to share a bit about why I choose to not be vegan or a vegetarian.

I have actually been a vegetarian for a few years, but it didn’t work well for me. I became obese and didn’t feel or look too well. I also tried being a vegan & raw foodist and actually became too skinny and I also lost a lot of muscle mass during that time. I felt like shit..  That’s why I switched back to eating meat and I feel much healthier & happier now.

I know there are a lot of vegans out there who say and think that you’re a better and healthier person when you choose to only eat plant foods, but I strongly disagree.

How good a person you are has to do with how big your heart is, how compassionate you are towards other people (and animals), how thankful you are for what you have and what you choose to do with your God-given talents. It has nothing to do with what you eat.. Especially not if your body simply doesn’t respond well to a vegan or vegetarian diet (I know mine doesn’t),

I also became a bit tired of vegans after being bombarded with statements such as that you should only date vegans if you want to date a good person and that people who eat meat are disgusting and all your achievements and accomplishments mean nothing unless you switch to being a vegan. Ridiculous! Being compassionate towards animals, but at the same time treating other people like crap and forcing them to do something they don’t want to do. Isn’t that ironic? How some vegans actually treat people like cattle. That alone tells you that being a vegan doesn’t make you a better or even a good person. If you treat other people like shit or force them to do something against their will then you are not being a good person. Period.

I won’t even go into depth about people like “Vegans Gains” who on youtube humiliates any bodybuilder or powerlifter who isn’t a vegetarian/ vegan. Seriously, some of the most self-absorbed, arrogant, Ego-inflated people I know are vegan.

Also, a lot of vegans and raw foodists have eating disorders or serious issues/addictions when it comes to food. How is that healthy?

So does being a vegan make you a better or healthier person? NO. You should become a vegan because it’s something you want to do for yourself, not because some hippy tells you that it’s the path to spiritual enlightenment or whatever, it’s not, love is the path to spiritual enlightenment, following your heart is the path to true freedom.

Not yoga, vegetarianism or following the advice of some spiritual guru who claims to know everything. Listen to your own heart, body, soul and realize that common sense is not as common as you think. There are a lot of people talking/projecting bullshit & nonsense and giving crap advice. Therefore, it’s crucial that you learn to believe in yourself and that you learn to use your own perfect guidance system. YOU actually know what’s best for you. Not other people!
